After re-installing Arch yesterday morning I no longer have thumbnails for all video files. At the time of installing arch via ftp/http the file 'thunar-thumbnailers' was not found on the server so I skipped it and continued the installation. Some time after the installation was finished and after trying several different servers I was able to install 'thunar-thumbnailers' and 'ffmpegthumbnailer' , but had no thumbs for videos, running '/usr/lib/xfce4/thunar-vfs-update-thumbnailers-cache-1' made no difference.
I have tried all the fixes I've found on google but none work:
I've rebuilt ffmpegthumbnailer using 'yaourt -Sb ffmpegthumbnailer'; I've tried deleting ~/.thumbnails and running '/usr/lib/xfce4/thunar-vfs-update-thumbnailers-cache-1' again, no joy.
Thumbs for videos was working before re-installing Arch, now nothing.
What to do ?

Hi, I have 'thunar-thumbnailers' and 'ffmpegthumbnailer' and 'imagemagick' all installed, but no thumbs for video files.

Thanks for the link.:D
Studying that page further revealed this illuminating fact:
It would be great if you could update the instruction. After installing this add-on user has to run:
/usr/lib/thunar-vfs-update-thumbnailers-cache-1
instead of:
/usr/lib/xfce4/thunar-vfs-update-thumbnailers-cache-1
When installing 'thunar-thumbnailers' we are still instructed to run '/usr/lib/xfce4/thunar-vfs-update-thumbnailers-cache-1' which is incorrect.
All video thumbs work now.:D
