Xine crashing

I just ran pacman -Syu and xine-lib and xine-ui got upraded to xine-lib 1rc8-1 to 1.0-1, and xine-ui to 099.2-2 to 0.99.3-1. But the problem is now I can't start xine at all. Here it what it says:

 
[brahms@Archer ~]$ xine
This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.99.3.
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/generic/dl-tls.c: 72: _dl_next_tls_modid: Assertation 'result <= _rtld_local._dl_tls_max_dtv_idx' failed! 

And it just quits. What does that mean and is there anything I can do to fix it?

According to this german gentoo-forum:

it has something to do with a xineplug-file. For one person in that post the following solved the problem (as root):

mv /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.0.0/xineplug_vo_out_opengl.so ~
