I did a 'sudo pacman -Syu' and it told me that there were 43 packages that needed to be upgraded, so I let it do it and it downloaded 324.72mb and proceeded to install the updates without a problem. I then noticed that the ghost (shaman icon) was red meaning that I needed to update, so I hit "process queue" and it gave me the error "imlib2: requires libtiff>=3.8.2-5 " I searched for libtiff and it was at 3.8.2-4 and 3.8.2-5 is right under it but I can't install it because whenever I try and install something it just says "imlib2: requires libtiff>=3.8.2-5 " and fails. When I removed and reinstalled libtiff earlier to try and fix this it removed some of my kde 3.5 programs and now half of them don't work.
Is there an easy way to fix this or should I just reinstall?

Hello Brando!
Interesting. pacman -Syy, and pacman -Su ? In last case if you wouldn't like to reinstall it, because of some reasons, you could build pacman manually from source, and then it must work
Hope this help.

Use the -d option to upgrade libtiff, then rerun your -Syu. Should fix it.
