Since the upgrade to 3.5; my ~/.xsession-errors is filled with these errors:

Also, Firefox seems to crash more often (~ once per 2 hours); does anyone have an idea why this might happen?

Firefox is noisy. I see these all the time as well, but mine doesn't crash. Check the quality of extensions you have installed.

I'm having the same thing. I ended up putting Firefox into a "while true ; do"
pacman russian roulette: yes | pacman -Rcs $(pacman -Q | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))
(yes, I know its broken)

I get this error too, and so does my friend. I'm running a 64 bit system, she's running 32.

These are not errors but warnings, and warnings don't cause crashes.
I have these messages too, hundreds and hundreds of them, but no crashes on my arch64 machine.
Presently I launch firefox with krunner like that :
/usr/bin/firefox 2>/dev/null
I tend to think it's an upstream bug, but where exactly ? I don't know.
So it's difficult to post a bug report, maybe to Mozilla ...

Firefox 3.5 crashes between 2 and 6 times a day. Firefox 3.0.11 rarely crashed.
I get these same warnings, followed by two new messages when the crashes occur:
(firefox:5702): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: IA__g_object_weak_unref: couldn't find weak ref 0xb662fec0(0xaf4f7210)
... etc ...
(firefox:5702): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: IA__g_object_weak_unref: couldn't find weak ref 0xb662fec0(0xaf4f73d0)
(firefox:5702): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display: assertion `atom != GDK_NONE' failed
(firefox:5702): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display: assertion `atom != GDK_NONE' failed
730389ab-fb12-79c4-3344e89e-42d2ea65 is dumped
Is this a GNOME-related issue?

(firefox:2186): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: IA__g_object_weak_unref: couldn't find weak ref...
Appearing this message seems to be caused by pango.
This message isn't appeared with pango 1.24.3(I built myself). Of course I don't recommend to downgrade it. It's just a information.

That problem persists with Firefox 3.5.1 :
I get hundreds of
(firefox:4922): Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead
and
(firefox:4922): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: IA__g_object_weak_unref: couldn't find weak ref 0x7f4369569990(0x7f43600c2ec0)
I filed a bug report : http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/15572?project=1
so Arch devs know this problem exists.

The problem with the annoying warning messages is solved with :
[2009-07-19 18:32] upgraded pango (1.24.4-1 -> 1.24.4-2)
[2009-07-19 18:32] upgraded gtk2 (2.16.4-2 -> 2.16.5-1)
Now Firefox is quiet as a nice countryside ! (almost)

Oops... I spoke too soon.
I'm still getting some of those Gdk-Warning, XID Collision, trouble ahead warning messages that Firefox 3.0 was throwing out all the time, but most of the new ones that came with Firefox 3.5 appear to be gone.
