Laptop Help

Well, I just got arch completely set up on my laptop with LXDE. Now when I close the lid of my laptop, and re-open it the screen stays off. How do I fix this problem?

Re: Laptop Help

Does your laptop also power off when you close the lid? Maybe it goes to standby. Can you post some kernel logs of the relevant time?

Re: Laptop Help

Unfortunately I don't have any direct advice...but there is a laptop sub forum that may yield a quicker reply then this section!

Good luck!

Re: Laptop Help

Maybe it's in standby in that case you can wake it up by pressing a key

Re: Laptop Help

I tried pushing all the keys, and I pushed the power button also. The only way I know to get it back on is to hold the power key down till it forces the computer off then turn it back on. :\

Re: Laptop Help

Maybe you could keep a sound playing on background to check if it's the lid or the system that won't come up.

You have acpid installed, right? Check the events file, you can delete the line that suspends the system to ram.
