Sound config not proper.

Fist time installing Arch ,, I have used Ubuntu , Fedora and Feddora Omega for years and have done a lot of installs but this is my first successfull well semi manual install lol. The install is easier than it sounds on the wiki guide lol.

K few problems ,, Gnome is kind of borked so using KDE for now but thats another story. Right now I am having a problem with the sound and it is probably my xorg config doing it. I have a dell XPS 1530 laptop and it has a sigmatel sound card had a pop up that stated my sound at intel but it is not.

Also when doing the install I tried configing the sound in x as stated in my printouts but got errors trying.

Any assistance would be apreacieted.

Re: Sound config not proper.

What error did you get? Is it an integrated soung card on motherboard ? Is the driver for it okay? Why do you think zou must set it in the xorg config ?

What kind of sound operation would you like ?
