Whenever I install something from the AUR I get this:
mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/abs': Permission denied
==> WARNING: Unable to write in /var/abs/local/yaourtbuild/wine-git directory. Using /tmp directoryWell, just wondering, should I be tweaking this to use /var since I have a separate 5Gb /var partition? Will it be faster or more efficient?

Hmmm.. I've tried adding gpasswd -a gary abs, but abs doesn't exist.
So i guess it doesn't affect anything? Yaourt was meant to use /tmp, then?

ummm...is there supposed to be an abs group? There isn't one on any of my installations.
