Cant start x as user

I've just istalled arch, then x and openbox.

In the wiki it says to configure openbox as a user so i created one and went to start x but... nothing? it starts fine as root, but as user it just gives me a black screen?

try:

groups $(whoami)

AND read

man common-sense

if it says man page not found, run:

/etc/rc.d/brain start

groups $USER

I just wanna check if you have added yourself to the users group. If not please follow the wiki and do so.

or put in a blank CD-R and run:

wget http://mirrors.us.kernel.org/ubuntu-releases/jaunty/ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso
cdrecord ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso && reboot
