Hello community!
I tried installing both the official rhythmbox package and the rhythmbox-git package from the AUR but in both there is no tray icon. When starting rhythmbox the other systray icons slightly change their position but return back to their original place and no rhythmbox icon appears. Can somebody else reproduce this?
Thanks,
PhotonX

If I remember correctly, Rhythmbox has a setting for enabling and disabling tray icon...? If so; is it enabled?

I know that this post ist old but i dont want to open another one.
My problem is that my Rhythmbox has no try icon is no plugin to enable it.
I use Rhythmbox 2.90.1 in XFCE4.

I think I am going to go ahead and ask you to open another one, As you state, this is an old thread. It is likely that things have changed to the point where your problem is not related to the old problem. As moderators, we look at things from the point of view of users who are searching the forums for answers. Mixing old threads with new really muddy the waters.
Thanks
