How to disable Slim autolaunch ?

Hi

Hum, I have a problem again ^^

So, I recently installed slim login manager on my Arch, and It seem I've the wrong keymap selected in my rc.conf because I can't log me in, in Slim...

So I would edit my rc.conf file with nano, but I can't, because Slim start on each time (slim is in the deamon start list)

How can I do that ?

Thanks smile

Sorry for my english... I'm a french user !
If you don't understand what I say, just ask me ^^

Re: How to disable Slim autolaunch ?

Try pressing 'I' when arch starts starting services, then it would ask you whether to launch certain service or not.

Re: How to disable Slim autolaunch ?

Edit the kernel line in GRUB, append the number 3 to it, press enter, boot from it.

Et voilà. Quel miracle!

If you use inittab, but he don't because slim is in the daemons array.
So like B said + read method 1 of: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Start_X_at_boot

I overlooked that... Then it's a bit pesky smile. Rc.conf may shave off a few seconds but I never found that a good way to launch your login manager.
