You can read some issue here in the forum recently with the newest version, so maybe you can use earlier version.

Google Chrome for Linux is a lie. I tried it once (google-chrome-dev from aur), and it was just about-a-week-old build of chromium, with changed logo. Don't waste your time, just use http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=26425

What are you talking about? I use Google chrome, not Chromium, and works well...well for dev build....

Yeah, It works well, just as chromium. Because it is chromium. Try it, then you will know what am I talking about. I laughed too. Hard.

Of course Google Chrome is chromium, that's what they built off....

But using Google Chrome on linux is just a nonsense, for the only changes are 1) logo 2) the build is older than the newest Chromiums.

I thought that around these days the fever of the "Super mega revolutionary" browser from google (sarcasm) the people will started going back to theirs previous browsers like me and other few people I know.
I liked a lot chrome or chromium, installed both in the windows machine from work. And after a month (maybe less maybe more) I decided to go back to Firefox, simple because I found it better than chromium. Maybe in 3 years I could think in give chromium a try but right now it only makes me feel sick to think that chromium could bet Firefox.
And yes, chrome is chromium. Chromium is the development version of Chrome usually not as stable as Chrome and using usually non-stable webkit libraries.
