condensed bookmarks in firefox3.5.1

before i upgraded to firefox3.5.1, this is how firefox would look when i opened it...

after upgrading, this is how it looks upon opening...

if i right-click on the toolbar, click 'customize' and then close the customizing window, the bookmarks bar will uncondense as in the first pick. how can i make firefox open the way it used to, with the bookmarks uncondensed?

So you know you're not alone, I have the exact same issue. To clarify a little more, it happens when you add the "Bookmark Toolbar items" to the same "bar" as the address bar. I've tried moving them to the menu and navigation bars as well with the same result... I chalked it up as a new firefox UI bug/feature

Hopefully someone else has figured out a workaround....

Found a workaround....However, I don't know how I feel about an extension being used as a patch but this seems to work just fine....heh
