Resume from hibernation takes forever on Thinkpad T61.

Hi there,

I hibernate with pm-hibernate, it takes about 30sec. Ok.

Resuming, on the other hand, takes over 90 seconds - with 60sec part with blank screen, and absolutely no hdd activity (oh, and two beeps tongue).

I'm curious about this 'dead' part - any ideas? roll

Yeah, I didn't manage to get hibernation working under Ubuntu neither. roll

I use it rarely, mostly over nights or long travels, so to be honest I don't mind slow resuming. However I'm curious why it's not working properly, and could it be fixed.

I assume you didn't try TuxOnIce?

Re: Resume from hibernation takes forever on Thinkpad T61.

Hello,

my hardware is a t61p (same as vl3dr0) but I am using Ubuntu Jaunty with the nvidia proprietary driver version 180 of the Ubuntu repos.

I am also curious about exactly the same 60 second dead part with two beeps. Without using the nvidia proprietary driver the hibernation process looks the same but without the 60 seconds dead part. I have been googling for hours and nothing solved this.

vl3dr0, did you find a solution?
