Hi all, just like the title implies...
I have installed the notify-osd packages from AUR, but Evolution is not working with them.
Now whenever I get a new mail, I get a popup window where I have to press "OK" to make it disappear...
I've looked around but I can't find a way to patch it for Notify-osd...
Can anyone get that working? Or at least point me in the right direction so I can make a PKGBUILD for it?
Thanks in advance!

Is it work if you build it manually ? Well, what do you think it's an application realted problem, or pkgbuild related ?

Hi, and thanks for your quick answer!
I didn't try to build it myself yet, because that is just the thing:
Apps like pidgin require being built and patched to use notify-osd. And not only those packages are in the AUR, as I can easily find those patches independently.
Apps like rhytmbox didn't require any patching and they "just worked" with notify-osd.
However, for evolution, I can neither find a path anywhere, nor is it working properly.
I'll try to build it using the ABS. About time I learned how it work anyway. I'll post the results. Probably not today, since I guess I'm in for some doc browsing&reading. =-) Just what I love about Arch - nearly flawless documentation.

OK, so ABS is so simple I just used it to build evolution... Now I just need to wait for someone to e-mail me to test it out.
If I mail myself evolution won't show a notification for some reason...

I've received new mail. But no new notifications... It's just like before. Any more tips?

OK, so I've found something else that might shed some light on the subject:
I believe Evolution requires "Evolution Indicator" in order to function with notify-osd.
I have a link here:
https://launchpad.net/evolution-indicator
However I can't seem to build it from source. It has plenty of dependencies I can't seem to satisfy on Arch.
Can anyone give me a hand, please?
Thanks.
