Installed in Dell Mini 9. But the aur package Aircraft manger did not work, issuing errors pertains to subprocess.py. I doubt with usb bluetooth module integration. With Official Arch aircraft manager works as intended.

You guys are either new to software releases, specifically projects completed as a hobby or you are being rude. The release date is always the same for these projects. The release date is "when it's done" -- or unless you have the ability to accurately predict the future. I in no way mean to sound snarky. Anyone who has created software for others understands what I'm trying to say.

well said.
I can add one thing: "..or when you have contributed what is needed to have a new release"

Going for a fresh install:
How do I load the intel-wireless boot command and then agree to the licence
At the first boot prompt I typed intel-wireless
though of course, no luck.
Ideally I'd be able to use ppp or wvdial (and working conf I have) though that might be trickier.
oops, actually I only have the usb 3G modem with a net connection today and tomorrow, so interested in both the intel boot command and any way to get my 3G usb modem running via ppp or wvdial.
thank you!

arch intel-wireless -> for i686 install
arch64 intel-wireless -> for x86_64 install
at least it should work that way, if not please report it.

appreciated.
So, put in ARCHBOOT, restart laptop and then at the first prompt type that in.
UPDATE: yes, that does continue to boot when I typed it correctly so I assume that would find the dhcp server.
I only have 3G usb modem this week so looking for a way to have the ability to use pppd/chat to connect.
Currently not able to get ppp/chat working on running system so I'm one big step away from looking for a way to have ARCHBOOT and a base install able to run ppp/chat DURING standard ARCHBOOT install.

hrm if a program is missing just add it here, i'll add it then to next image, setup will probably never support that.

thank you tpowa.
If there is some way to use an HSDPA 3g modem instead of wifi at the beginning of install. though this is not like for set-up as you said if i understood. So as ARCHBOOT is so up to date or can be re-made as up to date i guess wvdial maybe.
--------------- below was written first then what's above lastly ---------------
So, I'm thinking many of us sooner or later would want to be able to do a full FTP install with ARCHBOOT with only a 3G broadband USB or PCI/pcmca etc. modem. I just found out that at least the USB types appear to operate like a dial-up modem. I've had success with WVDIAL (with a file and a few lines in it as /etc/wvdial.conf) WVDIAL has a few deps and maybe a couple more if trying to run from just a base install.
Then there's the most intriquing ppp/pppd and chat programs. As mentioned I've been trying to fumble together something that allows me to use only ppp and chat as the basics DO appear to be in the base install. No luck yet.
So, perhaps there is some logic to adding wvdial to ARCHBOOT. just a thought and with the deps perhaps it is not logical.
just a thought. I expect IF it is possible to get ppp/chat to work from just a base install I will discover how someday soon-ish. I guess there would be at least 2 or 3 conf type files that would need to be manually added SOMEHOW prior to the ARCHBOOT network setup process.
WVDIAL is less attractive size/dep-wise obviously though just works the ppp magic with easy to find code to put in the needed /etc/wvdial.conf file. I'd love to be understanding ppp myself though with the multiple edits/files may take some doing to use as a tool for FTP full installs. It would have to find and set the dhcp server at the outset and i think you mentioned this is not likely to be workable sensibly
This all feels kind of new and questionable to me though i'm pretty certain at least that many many people will be more and more wishing to be able to do full FTP install with only a 3G HSDPA or related modem, and no other initial net access.
wvdial on top of only a base install i read, needs:
ppp
wvstreams
xplc
wvdial
readline
bash
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 26#p586226
All of which can be added from a local repo after an ARCHBOOT base install.
The hope was to someday be able to connect and do a full FTP base install with a 3G modem.

wvdial was removed from core repository because you can do everything with ppp

[re: wvdial] MOST intriqing! As I had hoped as ppp is in the base install!! Will continue studying.
Currently enjoying a day old ARCHBOOT base install from CD, then updating via 3G modem/wvdial ONLY :--) and looking forward to putting all the 'now latest' packages onto flash stick and doing repo-add magic again.
I bet that the pending kernel updates and lots of other little updates will be timing out well as probably in a few days or a week or two I'll be reinstalling with my fully OFFline method I managed last month. all good and happy! thank you!!
