How can i change the sound output of the mplayer-plugin on esd please ?
it tries to start mplayer with alsa output and no video is played. First i didn't know what's wrong, but if i just use from the shell
mplayer aaa.avi
it won't play, it says something about sound beig busy, and
mplayer -ao esd aaa.avi
works just fine.
so i killed esd and the videos are played just fine.
can anyone help please ?

just add "ao=esd" to your ~/.mplayer/config file, if you want to continue using esd. or you could configure dmix for alsa, too, but for me this did not work properly (everthing sounded like crap).
edit: use "ao=esd, alsa," this way mplayer tries esd, then alsa and if both do not work it searches for another driver.
