I  have some problems with xorg. When i am trying to run a program that requires hardware acceleration...nothing will work.Example:

[root@dj dj]# 3ddesk
Attempting to start 3ddesktop server.
Daemon started. Run 3ddesk to activate.
3ddeskd: glXIsDirect failed, no Direct Rendering possible!
3ddeskd: Please configure hardware acceleration. Exiting.
Server not found after waiting 5 seconds.

I have enabled glx in xorg.
Also my vis plugins in xmms work very slow...just like the screenservers with opengl.
I have Intel Celeron 1.7 Ghz,Video Intel extreme Graphics 32Mb onboard,128Mb RAM.
When i was using mandrake 9.2 these things worked...very nice also.
What could be wrong?

Re: Some problems!!

Did you enable the DRI module in xorg.conf?

Re: Some problems!!

Run glxinfo in a terminal and see if it says direct rendering is enabled. If it's not then it may be as simple as just making sure that dri is being loaded and that your user has permission to access the interface.

I'm not really familar with your graphic chipset but you may also need to ensure that the proper module for it and your agp interface is loaded.

It might help if you posted your xorg.conf here for review.

Re: Some problems!!

Is X.org using the correct module for your VGA? If it uses a standard X.org-module, you don't get any 3D hardware accelleration.
