Nothing fancy, conky with album cover.

Is this with MPD, or is it another player that Conky gets the info from (talking about the cover art stuff, I've just googled it and first hit talks about rhythmbox and conky).

i think it get's it from sonata

Re: August 2009 Screenshots

New wallpaper, new conky config (I really liked my old one with the boxdrawing tables, but it got too hard to manage).

I also completely redid my laptop's configs (standalone Compiz now):

Re: August 2009 Screenshots

The album cover in conky is based on mpd + sonata, more exactly on the existence of the ~/.cover directory and the pictures in it that sonata creates.
It consists of 3 files that can be downloaded here . Like I said, they could need some cleaning up, so pm me if you have any suggestions on how to make them better.

You need to install an RTFM interface.

If you install the patched pixbuf engine, you can render the inactive buttons transparent.

Thanks a lot. It's just a pity that conky doesn't seem to take variables for the mpd_ calls, since MPD runs on my server and the stuff has to be displayed on my laptop... Anyway, I'm tinkering away with it, just gotta get the CPU usage down for that tongue.

Now why didn't i think of using an mp3 player for mpd when i made Desktop?

Oh well... good idea. Although I've designed roughly 20 themes this month, I'm still using a slightly modified version of NumberOne.

Re: August 2009 Screenshots

I was going to ask for the wall, but I tried IQDB first and found it, so for anyone wanting this,
http://konachan.com/post/show/47063
and related,
http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/174586
http://konachan.com/post/show/47064

And for anyone else wanting walls from a desktop, try and enter the image URL into http://iqdb.org first and see what comes up. I'm sure a lot of people still don't know such a thing exists smile

Unfortunately it seems 4scrape is down for good though sad
