Re: horrible copy from sd card performance

Hello Kriz!

[10560.776507] FAT: Filesystem panic (dev mmcblk0p1)
[10560.776510]     fat_get_cluster: invalid cluster chain (i_pos 1518708)
Could you check it, or rebuild from tree, or reformat? What does it mean 'slow' by you ?

Are there lot of small file, or bigger files but lesser ?

check, didn't do it. rebuild from tree? idk wat u mean? reformat, nope

copying 1,6 gb in e.g. 45 minutes

47 files from some kb to 250 mb alltogether 1,6gb

it seems not right that for copying form sd card my load avg. goes so high (to 2.4). maybe the pemanent logging of the error while copying is a cause. coping files to sd card works fine.

Re: horrible copy from sd card performance

Is there a problem on Archlinux only, or is it hardware related problem ?

Re: horrible copy from sd card performance

didn't try out on other distros, but i think it might have to do sth. with hardware copy protection(?).

Re: horrible copy from sd card performance

with the sd card in my laptop, copying is slow as hell as well, about the speed that kriz has, but i guess the sd card is just slow as hell, hardware related

Re: horrible copy from sd card performance

copying to sd card is fast, but from sd is very slow. this lets me think that its a softw. related prob
