Problems with the new pacman<Closed>

Very strange goings on since upgrading to the latest pacman.
I'm typing this from my icewm box.
After getting it upgraded I did an syu.
It looked like an entire kde4 system with all the extra's wanted to install as everything was labeled kde4.
Including plasma...
I run kdemod 3.5.
I declined the kde4 packages I know I obviously don't use and allowd the rest.
Now a good bit of my system no longer works, I have to reboot, halt through the terminal and what was supposed to be available for downgrade has magically disappeared along with packages unrelated to the upgrade such as pyqt and pyqt3.
Hopefully I have been able to clean everything out that is kde related with the exception of the kdemod packages and reinstall kdemod.

edit:
Just finished reinstalling kdemod.
That fixed most things.
The really bizarre thing is,,, pacman says pyqt is installed.
A seacrh says it isn't and the apps I use that use pyqt say it isn't.
A Rm as well as a Rsm with reinstall makes no diff.
O well.
Glad I have a back up plan.

It is 4:14 a.m. my time.
5 hours and I depend on this box to heavily.
Going back to Slack.......
