need help with openbox installation/setup

okay im in the middle of trying to install openbox. i need help putting menu.xml and rc.cml in ~/.config/openbox first of all

also, i keep randomly getting the message

INIT: cannot execute "/usr/bin/xdm"

it repeats that like 10 times, than it says

INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

xdm is owned by xorg-xdm, a log-in manager. You'll need to either install it, another log-in manager (like GDM), or change your /etc/inittab file.

You should read the Openbox wiki page (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Openbox). The answer to your first question is there (under Installation), and I'm sure you'll find other answers as well. If you're looking for more details on how to configure Openbox (rc.xml, theming, etc.), you should read the official documentation (http://icculus.org/openbox/index.php/Help:Contents).
