wicd problems after update

Hi, I've got unusable arch installation due to an update I made few hours ago. After reboot wicd failed to start, when I tried starting it manually I got this error. Maybe you can help me.

[sdoky-laptop rc.d]$ sudo wicd-client
Has notifications support True
Loading...
Connecting to daemon...
Can't connect to the daemon, trying to start it automatically...
Connected.
ERROR:dbus.proxies:Introspect error on :1.53:/org/wicd/daemon: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)
warning: ignoring exception org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name :1.53 was not provided by any .service files
warning: ignoring exception org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name :1.53 was not provided by any .service files

it does the same with and without sudo. I have added my user to network group and it did not help. Thanks in advance for help.

Re: wicd problems after update

Hello sDoky!

I would reinstall that package with all of its dependency too, and I would follow the wicd archwiki page step by step. The new version works here too.

Re: wicd problems after update

I have followed 1LordAnubis's link and I did

pacman -Rd wicd
rm -rf /etc/wicd /var/log/wicd /etc/dbus-1/system.d/wicd
pacman -S wicd

this and I have added my user to network group. works now. Thank ya'll
