KDE bar outside screen when TV is connected

when i log into Arch linuc with only my 22" LCD monitor connected, everything works fine. If log in with my 40" tv also, the bottom of the picture comes outside the screen (almost the whole KDE bar), if i then disable my TV, it workd fine again. I use the open source drivers for my HD 4850 card.

I've put my 22" to 1680x1050 and my 40" to 1920x1080

How do i fix this?

Re: KDE bar outside screen when TV is connected

You're not trying to clone the picture to both screens, are you?  The different resolutions will make it impossible for both of them to line up.

If you do clone, you'll have to set the resolution to 1680x1050 for both.

Alternatively, you may try extending your desktop across both monitors so you can have different things on each monitor.  I dunno how well this works with the FOSS drivers though...
