Time to remove some of the stickies?

Well what about it. Some of them are really old and mostly useless as their topic may be already covered in the wiki or elsewhere. Maybe some of them can be moved, in some way, to the wiki?

Take the Arch Discussion forum for example. With my browser at full screen on both my macs and here at work all I see are stickies. I have to actually scroll down to get some actual reading done.

IMO too many stickies or really old ones are a navigation nightmare.

just my 2 and a quarter cents

Re: Time to remove some of the stickies?

after having a look, i think, that all are stickied correctly, but some of them need to be moved to the correct place

i think, that these:

Sticky: Pacman-i18n

Sticky: New belgian archlinux mirror!

Sticky: ArchLinux Germany

Sticky: ArchLinux ITALIA

should go to "Other Languages"

what do you think?

Re: Time to remove some of the stickies?

yeah those could be moved. I was thinking some of the other stickies could either be merged or the stickies could be adopted into the faqs or something and then one thread with links to the specific faqs could be made.

Any forum gets unweildy with too many stickies. hmmm maybe have a old sticky forum smile

Re: Time to remove some of the stickies?

thank you rasat.

I realize some may still have had pertinent info that is why i suggested adding such stickies to FAQs  on the wiki or something.
