Re: [request] firefox 3.0

Can't you just change the user-agent information to make the bank think you are using an older version?
Perhaps:  Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060310 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.11 .

Re: [request] firefox 3.0

You can get the tarball of Firefox 3.0.13 from Mozilla and install it under your home directory :

Re: [request] firefox 3.0

But take care not to use the same $HOME/.mozilla directory.
Before running Firefox 3.0.13, exit other Firefox 3.5 if running, and rename $HOME/.mozilla to $HOME/.mozilla.ff35
When done with Firefox 3.0.13 rename the new $HOME/.mozilla to $HOME/.mozilla.ff3013,
and $HOME/.mozilla.ff35 back to $HOME/.mozilla before reopening Firefox 3.5.

Maybe there is another way by using different profiles for the two releases in the same $HOME/.mozilla directory.

But the first method seems easier and safer to me.

Edit : Another method is to create a new user and install Firefox 3.0.13 under the new $HOME directory.

But what is important is not to mix the two releases when running each one of them.
