SLiM with Dual Screens

I want to use SLiM for my login manager, I have two monitors though and the SLiM login gets stretched over the two screens.  Is there a way to keep it to one screen?

I found a post in this foum http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 23#p356023 but there wasn't a solution posted.

Any help is appreciated.

You didn't look hard enough. There is a Xinerama patch for SLiM but it has some issues, you can find it and try for your self.

You need to install an RTFM interface.

Re: SLiM with Dual Screens

I'm using twin view, not xinerama, I would really prefer not to switch too. I should have said that.

Hmm if  i play games on twinview , the game also get streched. Can't you pull of a trick with --DISPLAY $1  or set one of your monitors a Primary .

Re: SLiM with Dual Screens

You could have a look at the theme-folder of slim (i think it's located at /usr/share/slim/themes) and edit your theme, so that the loginbox is moved to 1 screen and nothing is stretched (you will have to change some numbers)

Re: SLiM with Dual Screens

I was just facing that problem and solved it by editing the input_panel_x value to "(screen1Width/2)/screen12Width*100" only. It works perfectly (archlinux-simplyblack-theme).
