MPD don't find some files

Hello!
I have a problem. In a folder I have some mp3-files but MPD (Sonata) can't see all of them. That was weird so I converted one of the files that i could see to .ogg. Now I could see that one too but when I converted one of the files I could'nt see to .ogg I was unable to find the .ogg-file aswell....

What could be wrong?

Re: MPD don't find some files

You can run "mpd --create-db --verbose" and watch the output for errors .

The most common reason for this is either permission issue (chmod -R is your friend) or a format issue (corrupt file or wrong extention) .

English is not my native language .
