Banned?

Sometimes I see a post from:

Fred
Banned

What does this mean?

I would assume if Fred was banned he/she could no longer post?

I can be an idiot so maybe this is an example.

That's exactly what it means. The user in question did/said something stupid and was banned from the forums. They can no longer post. Period.

Ok, thanks. It's just that the one I saw was in the last couple of hours so they must have been banned very recently.

Checked again and can see now... the post I was looking at is from 2008 (I just looked at the time, not the date) and someone has added a new post today...

Some special people here have had their titles changed. I believe someone had theirs set to Banned to mess with users' heads.
