Hi. I am a translator of KDE4's k3b and am really sorry to see that in Arch there are no -18n packages for k3b on kde4.
I'd create one if I had any experience in writing PKGBUILDS, but unfortunately, I can't. I only managed to copy the .po files from websvn, change them to .mo, and make a polish translation myself. Really unintuitive, time-consuming and hard for newer users.
I can't believe any of the international Arch users don't want k3b in their mother language. There are plenty of translators working hard for you, and because noone created the i18n package, every Arch user is stuck with American English. The way I see things, it would be good to make sure every major KDE program has its own i18n package - I understand the KISS rule and all, but come on, no translations AT ALL? And honestly, K3b is something most of KDE4 users use to burn discs.
So, are you guys planning to maintain any i18n for k3b in the near future? ![]()
