My question is the following:
What is your maximum refresh rate. I think (but I'm not entirely sure) that before upgrading to kde(mod)4 it was 1280x800@75, but now the maximum I can get is 1280x800@60. Could anyone confirm what his maximum refresh rate is?

Hello Dheart!
1280x800@75 by me. Without kde, e.g. in gnome, openbox ?

Problem is that xrandr detects 60 Hz as maximum... Strange.. How do I fix xrandr wrong mode detection?
I can force 75 Hz via xorg.conf but as soon as xrandr command is used (eg KDE autostart or I type xrandr in terminal while using openbox) it immediately resets to 60 Hz, which is killing my eyes...

Which driver, video card, kernel do you use ?

Intel GMA 965 Latest software (currently compiling kernel26-git in order to see if it'll fix my problems...)

Where can I find this information? I searched in X.0.log but I didn't find anything.

Which information?
Tested with 2.6.31, same result. Applied this from gentoo wiki and there's no effect. As soon as the xrandr command is run (terminal or via krandr) the screen flickers and we're back to the old refresh rate

The refresh rate. In my X.0.log there's only the resolution.

Mine is 1920x1200@60, same thing as far as the 75 Hz. I personally can't see a difference between 60 and 75 though, so I just leave it.
