Hi,
I tried to install using USB img (Arch64-netinstall-2009.08) but cannot boot with GRUB Error 17.
I checked md5 checksum of img on USB stick, it's OK.
I confirmed to occur this issue on DELL inspiron 1526 and DELL Studio Desktop (I have installed Arch64 2009.02 to DELL inspiron 1526, it was no problem).
Any idea?
EDIT: I tried to use ISO, it's boot normally.

Hello Blowback!
Did you try with core image too, instead of netinstall one ?

blowback, have you setup your USB stick with the advised dd method to bring the *.img to the stick?
Or have you used other tools (like unetbootin or similar)?
If last, then please try to replace the archisolabel= parameter in Grub->kernel row with the label of you stick.

Thank you for replying.
Actually, I installed from ISO (CD-RW). This post is form my new Arch.

No. I'll try to do it on next installing (I'll install another test system to other partition or VM).

I did 'dd if=(img file) of=/dev/sdc1' and confirmed its checksum by 'dd if=/dev/sdc1 count=(count) status=noxfer | md5sum'.
This way is no problem in 2009.02 img.
Thanks.

Ooops,
I did 'dd if=(img file) of=/dev/sdc1'
I don't remember to specify "of=/dev/sdc" (correct) or "of=/dev/sdc1" (incorrect).
If other people don't meet the issue, it maybe my error.

If the typo exists it can cause problem in fact.

Sorry I confirmed my mistake (typo). USB img boots properly.
