Fluxbox, advanced application starting

Hi everyone!

I'm using Fluxbox and I've one small problem. For expample:

I want to do something like this, that when I'm at Workspace 1 and I've one terminal here now, the next one will run under this first terminal. And when I'm for example at Workspace 2, where usually I've Firefox there, terminal will run in the center of desktop. I wanna do it all in one shortcut. Is it possible? Most hard for me is this Workspace checking, for other things I've got some ideas.

I'm sorry for my English and thanks for help.

Welcome to the forum, kynski!

What would you like to see that terminal at the center of Workspace 2 with a short cut ?

Yeah and with the same shortcut I want to see this terminal in other position, but only when I'm at Workspace 1. Do you understand me?

Re: Fluxbox, advanced application starting

I run two aterms at startup both with their own positions. The easiest way I found to do this was to make a copy of /usr/bin/aterm and create /usr/bin/aterm1 and /usr/bin/aterm2. I positioned them how I wanted and set Fluxbox to remember their window settings, then added them to my startup script. Would something like that be what you want?

-edit-
I think you can also configure your ~/.fluxbox/apps to hold individual settings for each workspace - which would be more efficient - but I'm not sure on that.
