What happens with orphaned packages in extra?

Hi,
since a longer time the tor package in extra has no maintainer (http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/tor/). The last time I posted the updated PKGBUILD for 0.2.0.35 to the aur-general list and someone was so kind to update this package but also told me to send the updated PKGBUILD to the arch-general list the next time.

Now a new version has come out a week ago and I sent the updated PKGBUILD to the arch-general list but nothing happend.

What is the offical way of orphaned packages in extra? When are they totally kicked out or get moved to community/aur?

Flag the package out of date. Developers maintain orphaned packages as a group.

Sometimes packages are moved to [community] or [unsupported] by a group decision based on package statistics, maintainer interest, and other factors.

It's already flaged out of date...

Off-topic, but not really, have developers considered the idea of orphaning packages after a package has been flagged out of date for a certain amount of time?

That makes no sense, since for developers, ownership doesn't mean anything other than:
- have the package listed on the dashboard
- have you listed as maintainer of that package

Any dev can update any package, and last time I check, devs can even hijack packages from other devs without warnings or errors, so it makes no sense to orphan outdated packages.
