choppy sound problem as guest OS

Guys, I'm having a problem here. I am currently running archlinux as guest OS and Win7 as host OS. Sound playback is really choppy. Searched over the  net, and Ensoniq AudioPCI(vmware's virtual audio) seems to have problems with the latest 2.6.30 kernel when it is virtualized but not under a real pc. Since Arch's a rolling system, is there any sites I can obtain a 2.6.29 kernel? I would possibly avoid a custom kernel compile.

See the wiki entry regarding downgrading packages. It includes links to mirrors that keep older packages.
