Boot speed

hi guys, my first thread here tongue

i am having a rather strange problem. i think that arch boots up pretty fast, but bootchart seems to disagree. my previous ubuntu install booted at 20-22 seconds and arch is showing 30 seconds

arch bootchart:

ubuntu bootchart:

also, i think bootchart-render is rendering the image wrongly, as you can notice that the right side is cropped off.

is there any chance that bootchart-render is showing the wrong data, as i feel that arch is booting up pretty fast.

Re: Boot speed

yes, actually today i used a stopwatch and it showed that arch booted up including gnome in about 30 seconds, so i guess it is pretty fast. but, i thought that bootchart didn't include the desktop loading time ?

well, anyway i feel it is pretty fast, so i'll stop pondering over the speed issue.

thanks for the help smile
