Asus Eee, strange touchpad behavior

Hello,
I have recently noticed that my Eee PC 1000HE touchpad started to do strange things, like performing moves on it;s own (for a few seconds after I got my finger off it), or recognising finger moves improperly, but most of the time it works ok. I have rather up-to-date system, so I am wondering if it could be caused by the synaptics driver (just to be sure)?

I have no touchpad defined in xorg.conf - perhaps some additional option for it may help?

Hello Devastator!

"I am wondering if it could be caused by the synaptics driver (just to be sure)?" -> You can check it with older version.

Was it a fresh install or a system update after this can't work ?

Re: Asus Eee, strange touchpad behavior

It might have been either an upgrade, or a touchpad malfunction itself. I had it installed earlier, and it used to work well until about a few days ago.
I'll try to compare it with an older version.
