Radeon 9250, opensource driver problem

With this card i have no 3d acceleration in wine, so games does not starting or crashes, and prints like "no 3d acceleration detected" or "no Zbuffer".
But there is 3d in Kwin/KDE, and i have all libs installed properly:

OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI R200 20060602 AGP 4x x86/MMX+/3DNow!+/SSE TCL
OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 7.5

I had compiled Mesa 7.5 from git with these options:

--prefix=/usr --with-dri-driverdir=/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri --enable-glx-tls --with-x --enable-xcb --with-driver="dri" --with-dri-drivers="r200,swrast" --disable-glu --disable-glut --disable-glw --disable-gallium --without-demos

and replaced modules r200_dri.so and swrast_dri.so in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/
and  /usr/lib/libGL.so
Dri version remained the same:

OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 7.5

But after that i had working acceleration in wine... But why default drivers does not working?

Does it work with the binary driver? Or with this driver on livecd, or on other distribution ? Did you tried with the archlinux serviced mesa too ?

the new ati driver's no longer support the 9250 card. i have the same card on my old computer and i say, if u have a choice throw it far far away, and buy an nvidia!!! i did the same ; ) . serious, u can use or the opendrivers or an old kernel + fglrx driver.

I bought a laptop with onboard nvidia card, it works much better then ati...
