Re: [Request] - gnome-shell

I do, but I have some really stupid gobject-introspection issues:

#Contributor: Flamelab <panosfilip@gmail.com>
pkgname=gnome-shell-git
_realname=gnome-shell
pkgver=20090818
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="The next generation GNOME Shell. Experimental, GNOME 3.0 version."
arch=('i686' 'x86_64')
url="http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell"
license=('GPL2')

depends=('dbus-glib' 'gconf' 'gtk' 'libffi' 'xorg-server' 'libgnomeui' 'librsvg' 'libwnck'\
         'python' 'spidermonkey' 'libxdamage' 'zenity' 'xterm')

makedepends=('automake' 'flex' 'bison' 'gnome-common' 'intltool' \
         'libtool' 'pkgconfig' 'gnome-doc-utils>=0.12.0' \
         'clutter-git' 'gjs' 'mutter-git')

provides=("${_realname}")
sources=('')
md5sums=('')

_gitroot="git://git.gnome.org/gnome-shell"
_gitname="gnome-shell"

build() {

  cd $srcdir

  msg "Connecting to GIT server..."
  if [[ -d $_gitname ]]; then
   (cd $_gitname && git pull origin)
  else
    git clone $_gitroot $_gitname
  fi
  msg "GIT checkout done or server timeout"
  msg "Starting make..."

  rm -rf $_gitname-build
  cp -r $_gitname $_gitname-build
  cd $_gitname-build

  ./autogen.sh --disable-glibtest --prefix=/usr
  --enable-dependency-tracking --disable-introspection \
  --enable-compile-warnings=no --disable-nls
  make || return 1
  make DESTDIR=${pkgdir} install

}

Re: [Request] - gnome-shell

No it doesn't conflict, since it's new. After you manage to build it (but ... currently it is impossible for me, there are errors), you may see what gnome-shell has installed in /usr/bin/.

------

It's been uploaded on AUR.

I want some help to improve it.

Re: [Request] - gnome-shell

Why does it install glib and gtk 1 as dependency? did you forget the 2 xD

Re: [Request] - gnome-shell

you seem to be missing a \ after:

./autogen.sh --disable-glibtest --prefix=/usr

prehaps that's why you get introspection issues even though you have disabled it?

EDIT: bleh i missed the part above about already being in AUR, oops nevermind
