[SOLVED]partitions paroblem

hi, i am runing 3 OS,ubuntu 8.10 arch linux and XP, i made a reinstall of windows and i formated the windows partitions and other 1 Gb partition i deleted it from windows installer to prevent Windows to install its boot files there(windows saw that partition as C).
I have 2 problems
1 the partition numbers changed and in Arch menu.lst i had to made some modifications, but i get an error when trying to make Arch grub default.
2THE BIG problem is that gparted or other partition manager (i tried the kubuntu live cd installer) sees my hard disk as a huge unformated partition so i can't reinstall or use gparted to format that partition that i deleted with windows XP installer.

Any sugestions?
In present i did not lost any data and i can boot ubuntu and XP.

omitting empty partition (5)

Disk /dev/sda: 160.0 GB, 160041885696 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19457 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk identifier: 0xb96cb96c

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/sda1   *           1        2805    22531131    c  W95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/sda2            2806        4717    15358140   83  Linux
/dev/sda3            4849       19457   117346731+   5  Extended
/dev/sda4            6124       19457   107105323+  83  Linux
/dev/sda5   *        4849        6123    10241024   83  Linux

the missing partition is in 4717-4849 range

FIXED it using the opensource program testdisk and formating the deleted partition as swap , the nuber f partitions chAanged so i had to edit menu.lst in grub
