So I looked at my /var/log/messages.log for the first time today (I am rather new to this) and the file is pretty much spammed with lines like these:
Aug 21 20:03:01 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd9 on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 21 20:03:01 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 21 20:03:30 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x81 on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 21 20:03:30 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e001 <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 21 20:03:31 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd9 on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 21 20:03:31 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 21 20:04:33 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x81 on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 21 20:04:33 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e001 <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 21 20:04:55 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd9 on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 21 20:04:55 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 21 20:05:35 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x81 on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 21 20:05:35 hq kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e001 <keycode>' to make it known.
More than half the file is filled with lines like that. I want to fix it, but I'm not really sure how. My keyboard seems to function fine (except for some weird Microsoft keyboard-specific keys that I've been working to configure with Keytouch) but these messages are occurring pretty frequently.
I've read the manual pages for setkeycodes but I haven't a clue what to use as <keycode> and how to fix this error... Any help would be very appreciated.
