Hi all,
While ago, i've bought a mouse/gamepad (Genius Navigator 365) that i've been using in some emulators like Snes9x or Mupen64 without problem.
But since a few days (i didn't remember if i updated something, sorry) some buttons of the gamepad dont't work.
When i plugged it, dmesg shows me this:
usb 5-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
usb 5-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
input: KYE SYSTEMS CORP. Navigator 365 Laser as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb5/5-2/5-2:1.0/input/input14

i'm using kernel26 2.6.30.5-1, hal 0.5.12git20090421.4fc367-2 , dbus 1.2.14-1 and xorg-server 1.6.3-3
Anyone knows what can be the problem of this? i really miss my gamepad
PD: In Windows, with drivers, it works fine

Hello thesis!
Which driver do you try to use ? xf86-input-joystick, and which module joydev ?
Can you see it in the output of lsusb well? Which buttons can't work ? Did you try to downgrade your kernel ? Is there any relevant in xorg.log? Did you xorg.log change ? How do you get it ? Does it work under livecd or other distribution ?

Hi djszapi
I'm using joydev.
lsusb gets me this:

Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Bus 005 Device 005: ID 1c4f:0002 SiGma Micro
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0458:007b KYE Systems Corp. (Mouse Systems)
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04f2:b008 Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd USB 2.0 Camera
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
The buttons that doesn't work are 0.1.2.4 and 5.
It works fine with another distribution (i think that was DSL... i test it on a friend's pc)
I will try downgrading the kernel.

Well... nothing happens downgrading the kernel...
EDIT: I feel sorry... I was testing the gamepad yesterday and in fact it's a hardware problem.. I supposed my friend only test the directionals buttons... well... i supposed i have to use it only as a mouse. I will try to fix it manually if i can.
Thanks you.
