I've read the announcements on how ctrl-alt-backspace is being removed, so i decided to test the alt-sysrq-k combo to kill X instead. Unfortunately when i press that the only thing that happens is that my background gets miscolored and i cannot do anything but to reboot the computer with additional sysrq combos. Googling didn't help me, all problems about sysrq-k seem to have been months ago and been resolved. The last time i used ctrl-alt-backspace, a few weeks ago, now it is disabled, it worked.
Im running Musca as vm and feh as wallpaper displayer.
Anybody knows of a solution? Or in which logs i should look?

You can reenable ctrl-alt-backspace pretty easily.

Yeah i know, but it seems that the X developers doesn't want you to use it, and if i sit down on a foreign computer that i havent enabled tcrl-alt-backspace on it would be the best if im used to do sysrq-k.

It's not that they don't want you to use it; it's disabled by default so newbies won't accidentally kill the X server. Also, the Magic SysRQ method hard-kills the X server, which should be avoided, and only used in instances where the server won't respond to the zap.
