Hi,
Installed and didnt install any drivers, did not conf X at all (since new version autodetects).
X started up but had a low resolution.
Installed the nvidia driver and used nvidia-xconfig, then restarted now when it boots it just turns black.
How can I abort the boot up sequence so I can remove the /etc/xorg.conf file...?

Press "e" to edit Grub and type the word "single" on the end of the kernel line. Then press enter and then hit "b" to boot.

Tried that, "e" edited the boot alternative, then "o" to add a line, then "e" again to edit the line and typed single, then "b" to boot.
Got error on that line...any other hits?

You need to add it to the end of the existing kernel line rather than create a new one.
