Upgrade to 2.6.30 failed

After recent upgrade to 2.6.30 kernel from repos, i cannot boot.
Boot process falls to some sort of shell during boot, failing to mount root partition. No disk drives are in /dev, and disk_by_uuid isn't available.
Does anyone else has this problem?

It would be wise to tell us what the errors are in the output.

I think that since you have just updated to 2.6.30, that you haven't pacman -Syu'ed properly, since there have been many changes (new pacman, new initscripts, vc to tty transition ....etc0

Yep, i've performed partial update - only kernel and it's dependencies (just because full update requires >1Gb to be downloaded). Hope, pacman will work in chroot.
