[solved]switch seamlessly from i686 to 64 Bit

Hi!
At the moment i am using Arch Linux i686 with 1GB Ram. I am going to upgrade to more and would like to know if there´s a possibility to switch from i686 to 64 Bit with, say, just editing the packages in /etc/pacman.conf (well, ok, might be too simple...) - or would i have to reinstall my entire system?

Thanks!

Be aware that 1GB is divided between the dual core so that the system runs like a 512MB device.
