audio not playing

hey guys. i have a dell inspiron 1525 with arch only. im using kde full DE. when i try downloading an .mp3 from a p2p program like ktorrent and frostwire, the audio wont play. frostwire reported bugs. and when kde boots up, a message comes out on the right saying something regarding sata and cannot play audio files. the message goes by really quickly. thnx for the help.

Is your user part of the audio group?

gpasswd -a user audio

the two log files are too long to post. please tell me to post specific statements from the logs containing any keywork you want.
ex: any passage with USBcore.

the audio playback device HDA intel (something) will not work. falling back to defaults. thats the message.
but i couldnt find hda in /dev
