Strange KDE desktop behaviour

Have a look at this screen shot. Somehow I've managed to "scroll" my KDE desktop ... my wallpaper is offset and so are my icons. Seriously, this actually happened when I accidentally clicked & dragged on the desktop!!

And notice the other artifacts on the screen. There are a few blocks where you see the "normal" desktop in behind.

I am going to log out and back in to see if that fixes it.

Just weird.

Re: Strange KDE desktop behaviour

Logging out and back seems to have fixed it.

Re: Strange KDE desktop behaviour

Ack! But the problem is replicable (replicatable?). When I mouse click just near but above the panel, it happens again! Some kind of strange X driver bug?

Re: Strange KDE desktop behaviour

hi there, i had same problem in some distros, not in arch i think. nevermind; did you configure your Xs? if you use x.org (like me) you may configure them using 2 commands; xorgconfig or xorgcfg -textmode. during configuration you shall have an option, such like do you want screen to be bigger than the physical one; or STHLT (< something like that). hope i helped or at least gave you some clue.
