Today I installed Warcraft 3 by wine, patched it, but when I try to run game it says there's no CD in drive. I got last patch (1.24), but since patch 1.22 there's no CD required to run the game.
I got lib32-wine, lib32-alsa-lib and lib32-catalyst-utils and all lib32-something that was required by those.
[silencer@overlord ~]$ wine ~/.wine/drive_c/games/Warcraft\ III/Frozen\ Throne.exe --opengl

Read comments in http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p … n&iId=3126 , may be some suggestions will help.
BTW, WC3 works fine on my x64 install. I used to install a patched version of wine, but since 1.1.27 all the problems are gone.

Can you tell us which graphics driver you're using? Are you running wine normally or with chroot? Thanks.

I'm using the proprietary nvidia driver v.185.18.31. Wine runs under a normal user account.

I find this happening if my prefix is messed up in some way. Try reinstalling it on a new wine prefix.
Warcraft 3 works for me with bin32-wine-stable from the aur and nvidia drivers.
Madly in love with Arch64, Openbox, DotA, and of course... penguins!
Happy to help if you're not a Help Vampire. Use your wonderful resources like ArchWiki, Google, and our wonderful search page.
