I'm having a problem trying to download gstreamer, namely that pacman gives me an error saying it's not found. I updated and upgraded (pacman -Syu) just today. When I search, it says it's in the repository, but all of my mirrors (including ftp.archlinux.org) give the same error. My install has never had gstreamer before, I'm running on E17. Is there something I'm missing?

What is the command you are using, including the package name?

Hello Argonic!
What's the exact output while you're trying it ? Which mirror do you use now ?

I was trying to get Xfce, I used "pacman -S Xfce4". Most of the packages are fine, but all the gstreamer packages won't download.
I don't have access to it right now, but the output was something like: Error: (ftp.archlinux.org) gstreamer0.10 *more version identification* Not Found
Like I said I'm using ftp.archlinux.org, and also the EasyNews mirror.

It's weird because gstreamer package is available on that mirror in x86_64 and i686 format too, if you check it in a web browser.!
pacman -S gstreamer0.10 works here from this server: http://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/arc … a/os/i686/

Okay, so here's the exact error message: "error: failed retrieving file 'gstreamer0.10-0.10.23-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz' from mirrors.easynews.com : Not Found", and 7 different mirrors give the same error for me. I've tried a pacman -Syy, but it didn't change anything. Should I just try to install it manually for now?

The gstreamer package aren't on the easynews mirror and it hasn't synced in over 5 days.
Find a mirror that has synced at the link below and try with that:

Okay, that was it, I eventually found a mirror that had it, some that had updated recently still didn't have it but I found one. Thanks, especially for those links.
