texlive should depend on poppler
With the newest texlive-bin upgrade, texlive-bin-2009.1-1, I have the following error message when running "pdflatex":
pdflatex: error while loading shared libraries: libpoppler.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Hence I believe the "poppler" package should be a dependency of texlive-bin.
Indeed, it works fine if I install that package.

I agree. Unless I missed something in the dependency chain, it looks as if poppler should be added.
Normally I would suggest filing a bug report, but that's a little difficult at the moment. You can either wait until the bug tracker is back up, or contact the maintainer of the package.
